Serving up more than food

Judy McCaulley has spent most of her adult life cooking for Blount County students, an unplanned career that has brought her joy and fulfillment. Now the cafeteria manager at Heritage High School, she has cooked for students of all ages and spent time at a number of county schools.
Blount County Education Foundation presents $100,000 to Blount County Schools
Since 1990, the Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF) has succeeded by delivering needed educational tools to students and teachers in all county schools. Core to the BCEF is the mini-grant program, typically funding more than 30 mini-grants each school year.
BCEF presented $100,000 to the Blount County School system on Friday, September 11, 2015, at the annual Employee/Family Appreciation event. The funds will be dispersed throughout the District to all 21 schools for student needs.
