As the Leadership Blount Class of 2016 prepares for its graduation ceremony tonight, it can celebrate yet another milestone — raising the most money for any LB class.
LB 16 chose as its project to raise money for technology at Mary Blount Elementary School. The goal was $36,000 to put a Chromebook or iPad in the hands of every student.

The members of the class, led by Ginny Boles and Brad Rasmussen, held a pancake breakfast and St. Patrick’s Day party as fundraisers. When all was said and done, the total amount raised was $40,500. Leadership Blount Executive Director Debbie Henry said this is a record. The goal was reached with the help of LB alumni at Realty Executives. The check was presented to Jesse Robinette, principal at Mary Blount and his staff recently. The 36 members of LB 2016 will graduate tonight in a ceremony to be held at Butterfly Gap Retreat.
